My Top 10 Favorite Movies!

I always love hearing other peoples favorite movies just in case I haven't heard of them or so I can rewatch and maybe like it even more.  For me personally, I love a good romance in my movies.  Although there are a few I left out, I had to narrow the list down and here they are, my top ten favorite movies!  

Mama Mia

Donna (Meryl Streep) is preparing for her daughter's wedding while running her own hotel on a Greek island.  Also preparing for her wedding, Donna's daughter Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) secretly invites three men from her mother's past in hopes that one will be her father who will walk her down the aisle.

Fools Rush In

Months after a one night stand, Isabel Fuentes (Salma Hayek) shows up to Alex Whitmans (Matthew Perry) for after learning she's pregnant.  Despite their many differences, the two are drawn to each other and have a Las Vegas wedding.  The newly married couple faces struggles between pressure from their families, jobs, love and life.

A younger sister doomed with the rules of a strict dad, isn't allowed to date until her older sister Kat (Julia Stiles) has a boyfriend.  After pulling a few strings, Kat is being serenaded by the tough and brooding Patrick (Heath Ledger).  Using his wits in just the right way, tough Kat gives him a chance.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

In trying to expand her advice column in a fashion magazine, And Anders (Kate Hudson) finds herself searching for a guy she can use as an experiment.  At the same time, Ben Berry (Matthew McConaghey) is out to the test to make a woman fall in love with him in ten days in order to land a business deal.  And and Ben, both highly confident in themselves, meet and things crash.

13 Going On 30

Just as she starts her teenage years, Jenna (Christa B. Allen) is already over it and want to be older.  Overnight, Jenna's wish is granted and she wakes up thirty, in a strange apartment where she has to figure out adulthood and what happened over the last seventeen years.

Dirty Dancing

Baby (Jennifer Grey) finds herself spending the summer at a drowsy resort with her family.  Things start to look up though, when the resort's dance instructor needs Baby to fill in and dance with the brooding Johnny (Patrick Swayze).  baby's father doesn't approve and swears Baby off from seeing Johnny but even a tough dad can't stop young love.

Grease

Anything can happen while having a summer away.  For Danny (John Travolta) and Sandy (Olivia Newton-John), they fell in love and never thought they would see each other again.  Little did they know Sandy and her parents would move from Australia to the U.S. just in time for Sandy to start at a new high school at the beginning of the year.  Coincidentally, Sandy started school at Danny's high school where he is a tough rebel leading a clique of bad boys.  The two struggle with combining their summer romance and reality.

Burlesque

This movie follows Ali (Christina Aguilera), a small town girl who moves to L.A. with big hopes and dreams.  In reality, Ali gets a waitress gig at a burlesque lounge.  Ali tells the owner Tess (Cher) that she will dance on the stage for her one day.  When money becomes an issue for the lounge, Ali gets her shot and blows Tess away with her dancing and singing.

Stuck in Love

A family of writers struggles as the dad (Greg Kinnear) tries to reconnect with his children, Sam (Lily Collins) and Rusty (Nat Wolff).  They each face struggles in their own lives but also together because of unsettled truths about the parents divorce.  Sam is put to the test after meeting a boy at college that won't let her keep her guard up; and Rusty falls for a girl who needs more help than he can give.
