Back in the days of poodle skirts and no cell phones, friends and families gathered in ice cream parlors to have a treat and chat. Since the trending CW TV show Riverdale has brought the love of diners and milkshakes back I found myself searching for a quaint ice cream shop for myself. I started my hunt around the greater Cincinnati area and found Aglamesis Brothers, a family ran, turn-of-the-century parlor. They offer homemade ice cream, candy and sandwiches at two locations. While driving in the Montgomery area, it would be easy to pass Aglamesis Brothers parlor but once you stop and go inside you’ll be grateful you caught the sign. Inside, the shop is set up just like a parlor from the 1950’s. Pink and cream wallpaper and awnings with antique chande liers and tables.
